Energy That Was Wasted.
Now It Powers Compute.

AetrisCore has developed a solution to one of the world’s most persistent energy problems and turned it into one of the most compelling infrastructure opportunities in compute.

The Problem: Flared Gas & Stranded Energy

Every Year, Trillions of Cubic Feet of Natural Gas Are Burned Off as Waste

Gas flaring, the practice of burning off natural gas that cannot be captured or transported, is one of the largest sources of avoidable CO₂ emissions in the world. It occurs at oil extraction sites, natural gas processing facilities, and in regions where pipeline infrastructure is absent or insufficient. The gas has energy value, but it is simply being destroyed.

At the same time, data centres are hungry for low-cost, reliable power and are increasingly constrained by grid connection timelines, transmission costs, and the limited availability of sites with both power access and connectivity. These two problems have a common answer.

The AetrisCore Solution

Capture the Gas. Generate the Power. Run the Compute.

Step 1
Gas Capture →

AetrisCore partners with energy operators, oil producers, or industrial facilities where natural gas is being flared or is otherwise stranded. The gas is captured at source rather than burned off.

Step 2
On-Site Power Generation →

Using generator sets and power conditioning infrastructure, the captured gas is converted to stable, clean electrical power on-site. No grid connection required for primary generation.

Step 3
Data Centre Deployment →

An AetrisCore modular data centre is co-located directly at or adjacent to the power generation asset. The data centre runs on the generated power - AI training, inference, or Bitcoin mining workloads.

Step 4
Value Creation →

The energy operator eliminates flaring (meeting environmental obligations), monetizes stranded gas assets, and receives revenue from the compute operation. AetrisCore operates a low-cost, grid-independent data centre. Both parties win.

Why This Works

The Business Case

For Energy Operators

Elimination of flaring penalties and ESG compliance costs. Direct monetization of previously wasted gas assets. New revenue stream from compute hosting or revenue share. Contribution to national net-zero and ZRF targets.

For AetrisCore

Structurally low energy cost. Grid independence - no transmission costs, no connection delays. Access to locations with natural gas proximity that are unavailable to grid dependent competitors.

For the Environment

Dramatic reduction in methane and CO2 emissions versus open flaring. Alignment with World Bank Zero Routine Flaring by 2030 initiative. Measurable, auditable ESG contribution.

For Host Countries

Contribution to national IT infrastructure development. Technology transfer and skills development. Economic activity from compute operations. Progress against climate commitments.

Beyond Flaring

Natural Gas Applications

The AetrisCore gas-to-power solution is not limited to flaring scenarios. We apply the same model to:
  • Associated gas at remote oil extraction sites with no pipeline infrastructure
  • Stranded natural gas reserves in regions with underdeveloped transmission networks
  • Industrial facilities with surplus or off-spec gas that cannot be sold into the grid
  • Biogas and landfill gas sources seeking productive offtake applications
  • Backup and hybrid generation for existing data centres in grid-constrained regions

Our Teachnologies

Technical Capabilities

Generation Technology

Generator sets sized from 0.4 MW to 100+ MW per site. Configuration optimised for the gas stream quality, pressure, and volume available at each location.

Power Conditioning

Stable, UPS-quality power delivery to data centre infrastructure. Full redundancy design, and integration with battery storage where appropriate.

Data Centre Co-location

Modular containerized data centre units deployed adjacent to the generation asset. No permanent construction required - fully relocatable if the energy source changes.

Remote Operations

Full remote monitoring and management of both power generation and data centre systems. AetrisCore's operations team provides 24/7 oversight.

Environmental Monitoring

Emissions measurement and reporting for ESG compliance. Integration with third-party auditing frameworks.
